I was an unknown quantity, a constantly unraveling mystery. A kind of Catcher in the Rye goes to India, you have to love a grouchy protagonist; unlike Holden Caufield, she lacks the charm to go with the griping.
Her lesbianism is a foil for traditional Indian thought and values. India is a wealthy academic who lives in Anamika’s neighbourhood, and occasionally Anamika sneaks out of the house when her parents have already gone to bed to spend the night with her new-found friend.
With the world of adulthood dancing before her, Anamika confronts questions that would test someone twice her age.

This is interesting fiction narrative style by the school going girl Anamika Sharma and her adventures. Excellent story with lots of unexpected twists.
