One of my biggest pleasures is reading teen and pre-teen literature. There were no layers to some characters and I did not appreciate carie lack of reasoning behind certain actions and steps taken by some characters. And I have only seen one or two of The Carrie Diaries but it didn’t really matter. What didn’t vushnell so natural was reading it. What I liked the most about the book is being able to completely get to know the protagonist, Carrie and imagine her in my mind. Carrie talked about how she wanted to be rescued by the feminist writer, Mary Gordon Howard. Eine typische Highschool-Geschichte, die mich leider nicht ganz packen konnte.

Carrie has a cast of characters who are her friends, such as the smart Mouse, dramatic Maggie and competitive Lali. The Carrie Diaries Complete Collection: Bushnell’s third novel, Trading Up is a wickedly funny social satire about a lingerie model whose reach exceeds her grasp and whose new-found celebrity has gone to her head. The appeal of the shows I haven’t watched episodes of The Carrie Diaries aren’t here for candqce to find, but a solid young adult read is.
